Stabbursdalen - the World's Northernmost Pine Forest
Stabbursdalen National Park is situated west of Porsangerfjorden.
Located in the lower parts of the valley, the pine forest consists of trees up to 500 years old. Towards the west the valley turns into a narrow canyon, but later it opens up into an a
area of gentle hillsides and bare mountains. The park has large gravel and sand deposits from the ice age. The Stabburselva, which runs through the entire length of the park, is a famous salmon river.
