Femundsmarka - Wilderness Area with Sparkling Rivers

The ice age has left its marks on this park with its gentle landscapes and boulder fields. Femundsmarka is known for its pine trees and many lakes and watercourses. Domesticated reindeer graze in Femundsmarka, and a few musk-oxen, introduced to Norway from Grenland, inhabit the area parts of the year. On the Swedish side of the border there are two large nature reserves and one national park.
