Øvre Anarjåkka - A Remote and Undisturbed Part of Finnmarksvidda



The national park is situated in the interior of Finnmarksvidda and borders the Finnish national park Lemmenjoki. It consists of a gently undulating plain landscape. The vegetation is dominated by lichen birch forest, some pine at lower altitudes, large bogs and numerous lakes. The river Anarjåkka runs through the park. A large number of domesticated reindeer graze here in the winter.
