Abstract: Energy is the lifetime economy in this world. It can be preferred as energy currency, as it holds a very significant part in determining the economic growth of a country. The spurt in inventions in 19th century of Industrial Revolution was unprecedented in many ways, with the inventions involving the use of natural resources like coal and oil for generation of electricity.

Abstract: When I was in Saudi Arabia in nineties for a couple of years, we used to say, ' Fill it, shut it and forget it ' ! On petrol stations, never bothered how much he filled in my Toyota Corolla. Today, we have microprocessor based fuel injection systems in our cars. Fuel efficiency is one of the most important and appealing feature for buyers around the globe.

Abstract: India ' s three-stage nuclear power programme was formulated by Dr. Homi Bhabha in the 1950s to secure the country ' s long term energy independence, through the use o uranium and thorium reserves found in the monazite sands of coastal regions of South India. The ultimate focus of the programme is on enabling the thorium reserves of India to be utilised in meeting the country ' s energy requirements. Thorium is particularly attractive for India, as it has only around 1-2 % of the global uranium reserves, but one of the largest shares of global thorium reserves at about 25 % of the world ' s known thorium reserves.

Abstract: The Trouble bridge Basin in South Australia is a late Paleozoic sedimentary basin, extending from the Coorong area across Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island to Yorke Peninsula (Alley and Bourman 1995;). The basin contains the cape Jervis Formation, which crops out extensively in these areas. The formation is also widely distributed in the subsurface below Yorke and Fleurieu Peninsulas, Gulf st Vincent, Investigator strait, Backstairs passage, the coorong area, Kangaroo Island (Alley and Bourman 1995). In some areas the formation forms a blanket of sediment and, in others, significant thickness are preserved in glacially eroded troughs or local tectonic depressions.

Subject: New geology
Keywords: New geology, Migmatites, Neosome, Paleosome
Abstract: Migmatites are common rock types within Precambrian basement complexes of South Australia, and there are also limited occurrences in the Cambrian Delamerian orogen. The process of migmatisation is an important mechanism by which the crust undergoes chemical differentiation, and migmatite formation is linked to granite genesis and to the redistribution of elements of economic interest such as metallic or heat-producing elements from the lower crust into the mid to upper crust(Brown 2001). Therefore, understanding the development of migmatites is an important part of understanding the evolution of south Australian basement terranes, in terms of the style of the various orogenic events, the mechanisms of granite formation at different times, and also the ore deposits they contain.
