Background: Understanding the regional dynamics and ecological consequences of urban expansion is critical to crafting policies and institutions to manage urbanization. The workshop will deliberate on urban expansion and its environmental consequences at multiple scales in four paired mega-regions of China and India.
Participants of the workshop will include all
stakeholders - faculty and students from academic institutions,
representatives from para state agencies, NGO’s, industries, etc.
Individuals interested in participating are required to submit
(i) duly filled registration form and
(ii) one page write-up highlighting the steps need to be taken to mitigate consequences of environmental changes due to the proposed mega regional developments in India.
