This has reference to your application for participation in the workshop FOSS 4G: Open source Geospatial Tools during 1-5^th May 2011. We are happy to communicate your selection for participation in the above course. In this connection, you may note the following

1. Your selection is not transferable to any of your colleagues whether they have applied earlier or not.
2. Please do not combine your visit for attending the course with any other work. Course participation certificate will be given only for those who participate in the entire programme.
3. The Course will be conducted at CiSTUP. Direction to reach CiSTUP is available at http://cistup.iisc.ernet.in/reachus.html
4. The inauguration of the course will be held at CiSTUP Lecture Hall, First Floor @ CiSTUP, IISc at 9.30 AM on Sunday, 1st May 2011. This will be preceded by registration between 8 30 AM and 9.00 AM.
5. Participation certificate will be given only on 5th May 2011 evening at 5 PM
6. Outstation participants will be accommodated at Hoysala House, IISc campus. The room rent is Rs 150 per person per day. 7. Please bring your own laptop (Note book computer) for lab sessions. Laptop with at least one partition free (20 GB), wherein you will be loading linux and Geospatial softwares This will give an opportunity for you to install, configure and run softwares even after the session.
8. If possible, come with the spatial data of your region so that you can carry out spatial analysis.
