Initially the Department of Fisheries was issuing licences and later leased the area to M/s. Wild life Association of South India. WASI stocked some Mahseer seed in the stretch to replenish the stocks. Now the river stretch is under the administrative control of Forest Department. M/s. Jungle Lodges and Resorts have taken lease of the river stretch and managing and organising sport-fishing which is attracting both Indian and Foreign tourists. |
