Abstract: The study deals with the phytosociological analysis and diversity of vegetation in the forest of Dimbam, Saatyamangalam. Results reveal that vegetation is not uniform HB, HT and HS. Importance value index was higher for Acacia torta. The distribution pattern for all species was random to contagious. The causes for diversity pattern in forest vegetation were discussed.
