Abstract: Peppara reservoir in Thiruvanathapuram district is one of the largest additions to the strings of reservoirs dotting Western Ghat zone in Kerala. Study represents an attempt at understanding the nutrient status of the Peppara reservoir. Data on nitrate-nitrogen, phosphate-phosphorous and sillicate-silocon gathered from four seasons in the reservoir, formed the basis of this paper. The annual mean value nitrate, phosphate and silicate were found to range from 0.28 to 0.42; 0.22 to 0.32; 0.38 to 0.51 and 9.13 to 14.34mg/l respectively.
