Abstract
|
The Kannan Devan of the High Range forms part of the system of hills and passes known all the world as the Western Ghats. Stretching from Poona to Cape Comorin. It was suggested to us that we should write the story of trout culture in this part of Travancore before the early records available were finally lost in the passages of time. Indeed the work was started and part of it appeared in the field of March 1940. The final attempt to establish trout was inaugurated in 1937, and 1944 had at last achieved success.
