The EON (Environment On the Net) discussion list.
*********************************************************************
Purpose and Scope
The EON discussion list is a vehicle for continuing the work of the
Environment on the Net Conference, held May 9-10, 1996, in Seattle,
Washington, U.S. The purpose of this list is VERY specific: discussions
on techniques for effectively using the Internet and Intranets
(including
Lotus Notes) for environmental applications. One-time announcements of
Internet resources, publications, conferences, and services specific to
this topic are welcome.
This list is NOT the place for any of the following:
- General discussion of environmental topics
..instead find a list such as environment-l -- info at
http://www.cfe.cornell.edu/env-lhome.html
- General discussions for environmental professionals
..instead find a list such as TENEP -- info at
http://www.envision.net/TENEP
- General discussion of Internet or computer topics
o Announcements of new Internet environmental resources, except as
illustrations of techniques for effectively using the Internet
..instead find a list such as envinf-l or internetnb-l or nrlib-l --

the list
In the spirit of The Environment on the Net Conference, the EON discussion
list is open to all who are interested in environment applications of the
Internet -- from all sectors (academia, activist, government, and
industry) and all perspectives. Since we will NOT be having political
debates on this list, all should feel welcome.
