GAIA Forest Archives: Has a HUGE archive of rainforest
related information including preservation info and rates
of destruction. Their website is at:

Also check into the Rainforest Action Network who has the
same type of info and alot more on the rainforests in
general:
http://www.ran.org/

The GAIA url above may be outdated as I think they switched
servers.  RAN does hava a hyperlink to GAIA on their page
if this is the case.
