Articles for this, to be submitted in electronic form (as TeX or plain ASCII files) and of not more than 4-6 pages in length, will be quickly reviewed by an editorial board member and/or one other referee, and if accepted will be published in the next available issue. Thus, a paper, if accepted, may be in print within 3-4 months of submission. Submission of compuscripts should be on 3 1/2" diskettes and should have a clear label giving author(s) name(s) and journal submitted to. The diskette must also contain any special macros used for figures etc. The paper may be initially sent by e-mail to the journal office (sadhana@ias.ernet.in). A hard copy (3 sets) should, however, also be sent along with all figures and tables used, and with special instructions for printing, if any. Papers must be prepared in journal format as far as references etc. are concerned. Adherence to this will minimise delays in preparing the paper for press and also in tpyesetting. Instructions to Authors are available in the last issue of every volume and will also be sent by the editorial office on request, either by normal or e-mail. .......................................................................... ......................................................................... About SADHANA: SADHANA is a leading journal in Engineering Sciences, published by the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore. The journal covers all branches of engineering sciences including mechanics, computer science, electronics, energy, aerospace technology, materials science, nuclear engineering, systems analysis, alternative technologies, and industry applications. The editorial board wishes particularly to encourage papers ** likely to be of interest to more than one professional group, either because the work is fundamental or because it reflects the best in current technology ** summarizing, at a sufficiently technical level, work done on special projects of interest to engineering scientists, and ** offering extensive critical reviews, especially of subjects of current interest. >From time to time, SADHANA has published special issues focusing on subjects of current interest. Some of the past special issue topics include: The Aryabhata Project; Computer Simulation; Rural Technology; Remote Sensing; Water Resources Planning; Reactions and Reaction Engineering; Reliability and Fault-Tolerance Issues in Real-Time Systems; Fluid Mechanics and Space Technology; Modeling and Control of Stochastic Systems; and Parallel and Distributed Computing. _______________________________________________________________________________ %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% _______________________________________________________________ | | | Indian Academy of Sciences | | CV Raman Avenue, PB NO. 8005 | | Sadashivanagar, Bangalore 560 080 | | INDIA | | Phone: 91-80-334 2546, 91-80-334 2310 | | Fax: 91-80-334 6094 | | email: office@ias.ernet.in | | IP Number: 202.41.122.11 | | WWW at: | | http://drona.csa.iisc.ernet.in | | (IP number 144.16.67.13) | | http://gayathri.csa.iisc.ernet.in | | (IP number 144.16.67.65) | | for users in US and Canada | | http://india.bgsu.edu/ias/ | |_____________________________________________________________|
