First Announcement and Call for Papers
The science and technology of animal and plant production in controlled
environment and animal manure management for environmental pollution
prevention are developing rapidly worldwide. To facilitate information
exchange and promote advancement on all aspects of research and development,
engineering design and education/outreach programs, Chinese Society of
Agricultural Engineering (CSAE), China Agricultural University, and Zhejiang
Agricultural University are cooperating to organize the First International
Conference on Agricultural and Biological Environment Engineering (ICABEE)
in China during 15th - 20th, August, 1996. The cosponsors for this
conference include American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE),
American Society of Aquaculture Engineering, The Chinese-Israeli
International Center for Training in Agriculture, Agrometeorology Institute
of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, National Commission of the
People's Republic of China for UNESCO, and UNESCO Asia-Pacific Regional
Network on Appropriate Agricultural Technology and Community
Development.

CALL FOR PAPERS
All papers in the areas mentioned above are called for. The abstract of the
proposed paper (about 300 words English) should be sent in before March 1,
1996, and the camera ready copy should be sent in before May 1, 1996. A
proceedings will be published by August , 1996.
LANGUAGE
The official language of the conference is English.
CONFERENCE SITE
The conference will be held in Chengde city of Hebei Province, China. Post
conference tour will be arranged for the Beijing ---- Xi'an ---- Guiling----
Guangzhou, and/or Beijing ---- Ji'nan ---- Hangzhou ---- Shanghai
Chengde city is about 150 km away from Beijing, the Capital City of China.
It is a famous tourist place for its famous temples of Qing Dynasty and
Emperor Summer Palace for three hundred years. It is a beautiful mountainous
summer resort area. The hotel where foreign participants will be
accommodated is "Mongolia House", where you can enjoy a experience of
Mongolia nationality's living style in Qing Dynasty Palace Park. The room
rate is $45 per night. Detailed transportation information from Beijing to
Chengde will be given later in the program.

This fee will cover the cost of one copy of the conference proceedings,
lunches, reception, banquet, coffee break, technique tour in Beijing,
transportation from Beijing to Chengde city.
