Dear All,
Welcome to FOSS4G @ CiSTUP during 1-5 April 2015, Venue of the workshop
would be CiSTUP conference Hall, CiSTUP-SID complex, IISc Campus
IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE ALL OUTSTATION PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ACCOMMODATED at
CENTENARY VISITORS GUEST HOUSE (Near M S Ramaih Hospital Gate, BEL ROAD).

Type of accommodation: Twin sharing (studio apartment)
Room rent: Rs 300 per candidate per day (
(Possibility of room rent waiver for candidates who attend all session and
also take active part in the workshop and learn basic concepts. These
candidates need to a brief presentation to prove learning)
Programme schedule is attached with accommodation details. Rooms at
Centenary Visitor Guest house is booked during 1-5 April 2015.
Participants who are likely to reach on 31 March evening, will be given
rooms.
Limited accommodation is available on campus. Accompanying persons (if
any) need to make arrangement outside the campus. IISc campus is safe and
most of us reside at campus. In case of any problem you may contact me at
office 080-22933099 [my residence 080-23602075 (after 9 pm before
8am) - ONLY IN CASE OF EMERGENCY].
Please carry your ID card, copy of this mail with you. This is required
at Gates as well as for accommodation and classroom access. You all are
required to carry your own laptop so that practical sessions would be
meaningful.
Regisration would be at 8 30 am on 1 April at CiSTUP (main entrance)
Tea (at 10 30 and 4 pm) and Lunch (at 1 noon) is arranged at CiSTUP. You
need to manage breakfast and dinner in nearby hotel/ facilities on campus
(Prakriti, NESARA, NISARGA)
Bangalore day te,mperature is quite warm while night temperature on campus
is about 19 -20 deg C.

Welcome to the workshop on FOSS4G 2015@CiSTUP, IISc.
Thank you for your
response and we have received overwhelming response (100+) and the
selection of candidate was a quite difficult task. On behalf of the
organising committee, we are happy to inform you that you are selected to
the current session during 1-5 April 2015.
We have selected 35 participants for the current session. We plan to
conduct another session during June/July 2015 (for those applicants who
were not selected during the current session).

Accommodation: Accommodation of outstation participants (those who have
asked for the campus accommodation) is arranged at Hoysala Guest House,
Indian Institute of Science

Travel reimbursement: need to manage your travel yourself, we are not in
the position to reimburse travel expenses. The committee has shortlisted 4
candidates, who have been intimated separately.

Food Arrangements: Tea (at 10 30 am), lunch (working lunch), tea (@ 4 pm)
will be arranged at the venue of the workshop. This means that you need
to manage your breakfast and dinner at nearby hotel closer to Hoysala

entrance located next to Circle Shri Maramma Temple. This is at the north
side dead end of Margosa Road where it meets the Sankey road. Once inside,
you can see the SID building. CiSTUP building is behind SID and can be
reached from left (west side) road.
