	9.40am to 12.00pm	Good Lab Practices (Do’s&Dont’s) , working principles of basic instruments in microbiology(autoclave,hot air oven, laminar air flow and incubator), serial dilution, Media for Bacteria & Fungal Culture, Different types of Plating Techniques(Pour plate, Spread Plate, Streak Plate(continous, radiant,T-streak and quadrat)),microbial characterisation, Staining techniques ( gram’s staining, endospore, negative and acid fast staining)	Ms. Bhargavi R
	12.15pm to 2.30pm	Practical: Demo on How to wrap petri dishes,pippetes,conical flask before keeping in autoclave, How to prepare cotton plugs for conical flask and test tubes Nutient agar preparation, Autoclaving.	Ms. Bhargavi R Assisted by Deepthi hebbale and Saranya
