We generate a lot of waste like cattle dung, human wastes, plant, fruit, vegetable wastes, factory wastes, agricultural residues; Biogas plants convert many organic wastes into methane gas which can be used as a energy source. The gas can be used to run duel fuel engines, to provide lighting, to cook food and to heat small furnaces. Agricultural residues can be improved in quality by bricketting and pyrolysis and used as an energy source (Subramanian 1984).
