A climate change does not necessarily imply warmer weather everywhere in the long run. Norway might experience other climate changes like more precipitation, more extreme weather conditions and even a colder climate due to possible changes in the Gulf stream and other ocean currents.
Unfortunately, no finalised standards for measuring changes in occurrences of extreme weather conditions exists for the time being.
It is difficult to find reliable indicators for climate change, as natural fluctuations are considerable. However, the IPCC conference in Rome 1995 concludes that there are now clear signs of man-made climate changes. There are still considerable uncertainties. This is expressed through a high and a low estimate of what the average global temperature will be in a hundred years from now. The likely average temperature will be somewhere in between these two estimates.
