Dont's: Unsafe pesticide practices

Don't enter a field to work that has been posted with a re-entry sign.


Don't smoke when working in treated fields or handling pesticides.

Do not use water in drainage ditches or any irrigation system for drinking or washing food. The water could have pesticides in it.

Don't work in a field if pesticide is falling on you, leave the field.

Don't carry lunch and drinks into a sprayed field.

Do not put pesticides in unmarked containers or food and drink bottles or jars.

Never take pesticide containers home for use around the house. They are unsafe.

Don't burn pesticide bags for fuel. They can give off poisonous fumes.
