International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology 2007 (ICEST2007) - Call for Abstracts, Call for Exhibits, Advance registration
The International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology 2007 will be held on August 6-9, 2007 in Houston, Texas, USA. It is sponsored and organized by the American Academy of Sciences. The technical program is expected to consist of about 600 platform and poster presentations. The objective of Conference will be to provide a major interdisciplinary forum for presenting new approaches from relevant areas of environmental research, to foster integration of the latest developments into engineering applications, and to facilitate technology transfer from well-tested ideas into practical products and remedial processes. Researchers, engineers, regulatory agents, policy makers, consultants, and vendors will all benefit from the opportunity to exchange information on recent research
trends, to examine ongoing research programs, and to investigate world-wide public and regulatory acceptance of environmental protection and remediation
technologies.
The conference will host presentations on a wide range of environmental problems. Fifteen major topics are listed in the preliminary conference program. These

b-GIS@Asia is a conference on GIS set for 17th - 19th December 2007 at
Technopark, Trivandrum, India. It is about discovering how GIS empowers organizations. It focuses on integrating GIS into areas of organizational
business that are key to its functioning, irrespective of government, NGO,
academic, or business. This way, apart from technology, the practical
aspects of how best GIS can be pieced together with components and
techniques available within organizations across different sectors and
organisational functions (viz., data, data capturing techniques,
applications, standards, and software) to achieve their business goals
efficiently gets discussed. It is an important area for organizational
strengthening as well as capacity building in terms of GIS implementation.

Registration
Registration begins on the 1st of June 2007. Final deadline is 31st of
October 2007. Registration fee structure is shown in the table below.
Amounts stated are in Indian Rupees unless stated otherwise.
Delegate Registration
Registration as a delegate entitles to admittance to all the sessions, exhibitions and the opening gala. It does not include workshop, and sightseeing trips.

Financial Assistance
Trans Asiatic GIS Society offers financial assistance to encourage delegates
making significant contribution under any of the conference themes to attend
and present their papers. The exact number of assistance depends on the
availability of funds. At the moment, funding is available only for indian
nationals.
Two types of financial assistance are offered to delegates. Travel
Assistance and Student Assistanceships. Travel Assistance is eligible for
delegates classified as Academic / Research Institution and Student
Assistanceships to students.

Call for Posters
Authors may showcase their work under any related topic at the poster
section of b-GIS@Asia and compete for prizes. While submitting please
indicate the business category under which you wish to compete. Submission
forms are available until 30th September 2007 and deadline for poster
submissions is 31st October 2007.
Call for User Applications
Business GIS applications developed to meet end users' organizational
business requirements can be presented in the Applications Fair. The product
can either be an application developed using GIS software or a customization
of a GIS software product. While submitting please indicate the business
category under which you wish to compete. Submission forms are available
until 30th September 2007 and deadline for user application submissions is
31st October 2007.
Meet the Professional
This is the venue where attendees meet for a peer-peer interaction for
knowledge sharing, learning more about products, software, and technology
solutions. The focus will be on the following areas, Enterprise GIS, b-GIS
for telecomm, Workforce Management.
