Medicinal use:
- The extracts of the parts have antifungal, antiviral, antidiahorreal and antidysentry properties, used for treatment of diabetes, asthma, leprosy, thoracic obstructions
- Roots cure fever, cardiac disorders, wounds
- Leaves and flowers are used in ringworms and other skin infections.
- Pulp is purgative and used in all intestinal disorders. Laxative on pregnant women, Children for biliousness, liver disorders. Antipyretic-for Malaria and black fever. Against leprosy and diabetes
