Abstract: Eleven species of the genus Lychas C. Koch are known from Indian sub continent. Among these six species under three sub-genera's have been described from the southern par of India. The genus Lychas is known only by Lychas (Alterotrichus) rugosus (pocok) from Nasik District.The present communication describes a new species from Nasik district : Lychas (Alterotrichus) kharpadi sp nov.
