Abstract

Abstract: The rivers of Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary located in Kannur district, Kerala were surveyed in February 1995.Thirty species of fishes are reported. Osteocheilus nashii and Noemacheilus nilgirensis were recorded in the first tome from a west flowing river. Observation of Puntis densisonii indicates extension of range to the north of the Palghat gap in the Western Ghats
