Abstract

Abstract: The Silent Valley National Park is the largest chunk of comparatively undisturbed area abording tropical rain forest in the Western Ghats. The flora of the area is fascinating from the phytogeographical point of view with Asiatic endemic, Indo-Srilankan elements dominating the scenario. Pantropic, Austarlio-Asian, Indo-African and other forms follow these.
