Madras Herbarium No 93177 and 93178 (Malayam -Vellai nathan) cultivated commonly in Malabar District; a quick growing plant flowering within 45 days after sowing; also a good yeilder and duration up to 3 and half months. The variety is named after the place Badagara where it is largely grown.
