The
ENVIS Centre on Forestry was established by the
Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF), Govt. of India during
1996-97 at the Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, the oldest and
largest institute under Indian Council of Forestry Research and
Education. The Centre is located at the National Forest Library and
Information Centre, which is richest in document collection on
forestry and allied sciences in South and South-east Asia, having more
than 1.65 lakh books and other publications, more than 7,000 ledger
files containing research articles, etc. on different forest species,
subjects, and almost all Indian and foreign journals on forestry and
allied sciences. |
