The incumbent also needs to have knowledge of mega species like elephant, tiger, rhino, whale etc. which frequently comes up in different international conventions and fora. As the post requires frequent correspondence with domestic and international agencies and institutes as well as government bodies, the person needs to have flair in written communication and excellent presentation skills. Responsibilities: The principal responsibility of the Project Officer is to lobby for getting political support from other countries for conservation of mega species in India; to work for finding out suitable strategies to raise funds for WTI and its associates^Ò different international convention related projects; to assist in preparation of action plans for conservation of mega species.
