has annonced the availability of Ms. AGATHA HARRISON MEMORIAL FELLOWSHIP (2005-2006)
Govt. of India has instituted this only one Fellowship in St. Anthony's college, Oxford (U.K.)

Period :  One year extendable to second year based on performance

Fellowship Amount :   24,536 Pounds

Air Fare :  To & Fro air fare by economy class.  Spuse is also given airfare provided he/she stays with the seleced
                candidate throughout the year in U.K.

The Fellowship is given to a Post-Doctorate who has specialised in Modern Indian Studies in the subject field of HISTORY,
ECONOMICS, POLITICAL SCIENCE.

Applicants, between 30 and 40 years of age, must have published works, which have received outstanding recognition.
Fellowship is intended to be  for a young scholar, who is bent on pursuing academic career and whose status would be
comparable to a JRF at the University of OXFORD.

Experience :

A minimum of three year teaching experience at graduate / PG level as on 17.9.2004.

Mere fulfillment of minimum requirements does not qualify a candidate for interview.

Interview letters are sent to a limited number of candidates following scrutiny of academic record.

The candidate must have stayed in India during the last three years.

Candidates must furnish a clear and precise programme of study/research (minimum 300 words)
justifying that their study/research can be carried out in UK.

Research proposals should be described carefully as it forms the basis for selection.
