GeoMedia WebMap Publisher helped NIU publish its interactive map live in a matter of days instead of weeks or months. GeoMedia WebMap Publisher does not require programming knowledge to publish a Web site and is fast, dynamic, and has powerful functionality. GeoMedia WebMap Publisher will soon be integrated into GeoMedia WebMap Professional. Its objective now is to give the public easy access to mapping information on the state of Louisiana. The CADGIS Research Laboratory at Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, currently maintains the page at http://atlas.lsu.edu. The laboratory is supported by the LSU College of Art and Design and the LSU Department of Geography and Anthropology. This group has also developed a campus map. Check it out on http://maps.cadgis.lsu.edu/campusmap/. The CADGIS Lab teaches computer-based courses and facilitates research in the areas of computer aided design and geographic information systems. LSU is a member of the Intergraph Registered Research Laboratory program as well as an Intergraph Education Grant recipient. [top_linev1.gif] [squares.gif] Online Education Course - open for registrations Open for registrations Intergraph^Òs sell-out theoretical and practical course ^ÓIntroduction to Geographic Information Science (GIS),^Ô has been updated for the next release of GeoMedia Professional and is now open for registrations until May 7th. Course start date is [presented_by.gif] May 24th. This online education program provides a theoretical and hands-on understanding of GIS. The course is suitable for both existing users of GeoMedia Professional or other GIS technology, as well as those new to GIS within the academic or commercial community. Upon completion of the program, participants will have the opportunity to take an examination in order to gain GeoMedia Professional Certified User status and an Intergraph Certificate in GIS Integrated Geospatial Theory. The sessions include an interoperability panel discussion led by key representatives from the international geospatial community.
