Dear ASPRS Member,

ASPRS is pleased to support the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) The
Institute for Advanced Education in Geospatial Sciences (IAEGS) in their
Request for Proposals (RFP) for the development of course modules in a
Model Curriculum for Remote Sensing.  This effort has been funded by a
multi-year grant from NASA representing a significant investment in the
future of geospatial information sciences.

The goal of the current RFP is to seek “Course Creation
Fellows” to provide course content in their respective areas of
expertise.  Please find the full text available online at

Candidates for these positions will compete for an award stipend of
$80,000 each. A total of nine stipends will be awarded in Phase III of
course production, for the following
topics:

1) Advanced Geospatial Referencing
2) Advanced Projections, Datum and Coordinate Systems
3) Advanced Decision Support System Design
4) Agricultural Applications of Remote Sensing
5) Geological Applications of Remote Sensing
6) Geospatial Mathematics, Algorithms and Statistics
7) Remote Sensing in Transportation Applications
8) Artificial Intelligence and Geoprocessing
9) Geospatial Primer
