The direction of migration is from east to west. If anyone see this migration please mail me to kishen.das@gxs.com The dark blue tigers are blue in color and all the butterflies will seem to like flying in the same direction. The double branded crows are black in color. Usually the number of crows you see, will be very much less than that of dark blue tigers ( say 1:10 ) . The pictures of these 2 species are available in this link -- http://www.geocities.com/kishan_nie/photos/migration.html The following details has to be recorded whenever you see these migrations . 1) The place 2) Time period 3) Butterfly count across 25m or 50 m for 15 minutes or 30 minutes 4) The date 5) Name of the observer/s 6) The direction of migration 7) weather ( wind direction , cloud type , temperature , humidity ) You can measure these parameters if you have equipments , otherwise its ok. You can mail these details either to me ( kishen.das@gxs.com ) or to the entire group. If you are not interested in recording all the details , its ok . At least tell me the time and place , I will try to come there and measure the parameters. If you have any query wrt these migrations , you can mail me. These migrations play a very important role in nature , so any obervations wrt these migrations , will be helpful in monitoring and studying these migrations. Please forward this mail to everyone you know who watch butterflies. looking forward for your support , happy butterflying , kishen das
