Areas of research include: dune restoration, native plant propagation and production, invasive plant management, forest and wetland ecology. WFREC is one = of 17 off-campus research and education programs within the University o= f Florida system and includes the Milton campus location where undergraduate degrees in following areas are taught: Environmental Horticulture, Turfgrass Science and Natural Resource Conservation. Th= e second location is a 700 acre research station in Jay, Fl. WFREC is located 15 miles northeast of Pensacola Florida. We are seeking graduate students interested in both research and teaching experiences. Students would develop a cooperative graduate program = and work with faculty both on and off campus. Coursework would be taken = in Gainesville with research and teaching occurring at WFREC.
