Subject: SICB Denver meeting: abstract deadline extended.

Hi Gang,

The Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology (SCIB--formerly American
Society of Zoologists) is holding it's annual meetings in Denver, 6-10
January.

The original abstract deadline date of August 14 has been extended to
Monday, August 24, in order to allow those of you just returning from
summer research trips the opportunity to submit an abstract for the Denver
meeting. Denver promises to be one of our most exciting meetings in years,
with nine symposia (including: Environmental Endocrine Disrupters--from
genes to ecosystems; Evolutionary Origin of Feathers; Animal
Consciousness--historical, empirical, and theoretical perspectives;
Starfish; Comparative Vertebrate Reproduction), plus the tribute symposium
for Alan Kohn on Invertebrate Biology. This is in addition to our regular
contributed paper and poster sessions.

**GRAD STUDENTS**
The society helps defray the costs of attendance for graduate students, and
offers best student paper awards in each of several divisions (e.g., Animal
Behavior, Ecology, Vertebrate Morphology, Systematics, etc.). Please pass
this on to any interested party.

You can submit your abstract online.
