INDO-GERMAN PROJECT BASED PERSONNEL EXCHANGE PROGRAMME DST-DAAD ^Ö 2005:
CALL FOR PROPOSALS

 

Proposals are invited from Scientists and Faculty of R&D and academic
institutions for joint support by Department of Science & Technology
(DST) of India and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) of Germany
for Collaborative Research Project based exchange visits of scientists /
academicians / research scholars under the abovementioned DST-DAAD PPP ^Ö
2005. This programme, in addition to collaborative research activities
among scientists, lays special emphasis on further academic training and
specialisation of young scholars. The projects selected for support under
the programme will commence from 1st June 2005.

 

Details of the programme, including guidelines and applications format
may be downloaded from Internet website: www.dst-stic.org or
www.dst.gov.in. For further details, Dr G Padmanabham, Scientist F, DST
may be approached.

 

The last date for receipt of completed applications in DST is 30th
November 2004.

  DST concludes new programme of cooperation with argentina

 

Department of Science & Technology, Government of India has concluded a
Programme of Cooperation in Science & Technology with the Secretariat of
Science, Technology and Productive Innovation of Government of Argentina.
Biotechnology, Medical Science & Technology, Science Communication,
Information Technology, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, and Agricultural
Research.  Proposals in other areas of bilateral interests would also be
considered.

 

It has also been agreed to hold an Indo-Argentine Workshop on
^ÓBiotechnological approaches on Food quality and safety^Ô later this
year.

 

For further details, scientists in India may contact Dr BK Jain, Adviser,
International Cooperation, DST whereas Argentine scientists may contact
Eng. Agueda Mevielle, Directress of International Relationship, Secretary
of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation.

TECHNOLOGY SUMMIT ^Ö DST & CII TECHNOLOGY SHOW AT NEW DELHI 19-20 OCTOBER
2004

 

Department of Science & Technology, Government of India (DST);
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Russian Academy of Sciences
(RAS) have agreed to jointly organise ^ÓTechnology Summit^Ô at New Delhi
during 19-20 October 2004.

 

Technology Summit, an event to showcase technologies to industry, is one
of the annual events of CII to appraise their members (from industry) of
various scientific and technological developments in the country and
abroad. For this year Summit, Russia has been identified as partner
country and DST is providing technical and other supports to it. Summit
provides an ideal opportunity for discussion with
academic-scientific-industry interaction and transfer of technology to
