The Organization for Tropical Studies (OTS) owns and operates three Biological Stations in Costa Rica: La Selva, Palo Verde and Las Cruces. OTS is a not-for-profit consortium of 64 universities and research institutions in the United States, Latin America, Canada, Africa and Australia. OTS was founded in 1963 to provide leadership in education, research and the responsible use of natural resources in the tropics. Through OTS=B4s efforts in research facilitation, more than 300 researchers, work through the year on more than 150 projects, in order to understand tropical ecosystems and biodiversity.=20 We can plan for you an itinerary that includes: the exhuberance of the tropical rainforest (at La Selva); the misty pre-montane forest and a beautiful botanical garden (at Las Cruces), and the endangered tropical dry forest, along with mangroves and wetlands (at Palo Verde).=20 ESINTRO handles the commercial activities of the stations, and our goal is to provide your visitors with an educational and refreshing experience, while contributing and supporting OTS programs and their mission. Please visit our web site: www.ots.ac.cr, and let us know if you are interested in receiving a proposed itinerary for your groups.
