Eclipse data and activities - on the Web

On August 11th, 1999 a total eclipse of the sun occurred across Europe. Science Across the World  in partnership with Philip Harris International and BP Solarex are marking this special occasion with an on-line project called "Investigating the Eclipse".  Right across Europe, our team of students and teachers used portable data-loggers, sensors and photovoltaic cells  to gather a variety of data during the eclipse, including calibrated light intensity, PV cell output, UV Intensity and air temperature. All data is available on the SAW web-site.
The data obtained during the eclipse enables students to carry out some interesting investigations, including:

How fast is the eclipse moving?
How efficient are PV solar cells?
The Eclipse and weather patterns
