We are seeking a Ph.D. student for a newly funded research project on
the
ecological consequences of fire suppression in Northern Rocky Mountain
Conifer Forests.  The work will focus on changes in species composition
and
abundance associated with fire suppression, and their consequences on
soil
water and nitrogen availability.  Preference will be given to candidates
with a Masters Degree or significant research experience and specific
interests in developing his/her research within the realm of plant/soil
