Six hydel projects cleared in 18 months

NEW DELHI : In a bid to improve the over all power scenario and hydel-thermal mix, the government has cleared six major hydel power projects totalling 3,960 MW in last 18 months. A record number of six hydel projects have been approved during last one and half years, Power Minister Anant Geete said at India Hydro 2004, organised by National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) here.
